Isaiah Cartwright hit the ArenaNet Blog today to announce some upcoming changes to the way Fractals of the Mists handles parties. I can't say we didn't see this coming. But I can tell you it is a huge relief that this system is seeing some much needed attention and love.
The first change was to resolve the inexplicable disconnection issues that prevented players from rejoining a Fractal run after being disconnected. This single change should alleviate mountains of complaints I and other players have had.
The second change is one many in the community had suggested, and we have talked about here. The fix involves letting players select any difficult up to the highest difficulty any player in the party has attempted. This means as long as one player in the group is at level 10, all the players can attempt the Fractal at that level. It wasn't my number one choice, but it is definitely a huge improvement from the cluster we have now.

Both are good changes, & will definitely make it easier to find (and stay in) a group. I'm looking forward to the January update even more now!
