Mad Memoires Scavenger Hunt Act 2 Guide

The second act of the Mad Memoires isn’t like the first, mainly because it requires you to be around level 55 in order to finish it. It takes you into a few higher level zones and obviously, the reward at the end has better stats, but you’ll need some help if you’re a lower level. This follows the same methodology as the first; there are six memoires out there. You’ll need to use your scanner to uncover the “Suspicious Locations” which either spawn the ghost who gives you the memoire or starts an event to spawn the ghost.

Read our Act 1 guide for more information about the scanner and the Pieces of Candy Corn you’ll need to power it. For most of these, the events will probably already be done and you won’t need to scan or do anything, from my experience. You can solo all of the steps as long as you’re above level 55 or have some friends.

You’ll also need inventory space for all of the items, the Pieces of Candy Corn, and the scanner.

First thing you'll want to do is head to the waypoint in the Ascalon Settlement. If it's currently overtaken by the centaur, choose any waypoint to the right of the town. You'll want to head east out of the town and go north up a hill. Even if the town has been captured, guards will remain around the monument. Scan Corporeal around the ruined doorway beside the monument to reveal a Suspicious Location. Activate it to start the event “Drive back the hands of the accused thieves.” Some hands and zombies will spawn, take them out and talk to Cashel to get the memoire.

Go to Harathi Hinterlands at Demetra Waypoint. You’ll want to go into the ruins to where the statue is. Don’t run to it, fight your way there or you will be overwhelmed. Use your Etheric Scan to uncover Maisie who will give you this memoire. The Suspicious Location is near the candles.

While still in harathi, go to the Greystone Rise waypoint and follow the map to walk into the barn. Scan Corporeal Field to talk to Rufus. From here, I suggest skipping the tenth memoire and doing the eleventh, since it’s still in harathi.

Go to the Sorrowful Waypoint in Bloodtide Coast then swim southwest until you reach a ship that’s half sunken, but you can walk on it. Scan Aqueous Field here to start an event “Subdue the Mad Realm creatures until the door closes.” This one is easily solo’d, just take care of the candy cane monsters until Bennu shows up.

Go to the Bridgewatch Camp Waypoint in the Greenfin Plateau. Scan Etheric Field at the edge of the bridge to the north, climb up on the side of the bridge and use it to start the event “Extinguish the flames in the village lost to time.” You’ll want to scan Aqueous to locate a bucket of water to use to extinguish the flames.

Location of Suspicious Point

Go to the Fort Cadence Waypoint in Fort Cadence and go north into The Shattered Keep. Go into the tunnel in the north and follow around the wall until you get to some ghostly furniture and a veteran mob. Scan Etheric Field near the pillars before the veteran mob/ghostly furniture to find the suspicious location (it's not with the furniture, it's on the pillar closest to southern wall before the furniture), Wynn will spawn and give you the last memoire. See the picture to the side if you're having trouble.

 

Congratulations! You are now done with the first two acts. Return to Lion’s Arch and speak to Tassi who will reward you with the Mad Memoires: Complete Edition.
