Hello, I'm Meltzeiferion (and Remeliez at the Necrobator forum). I plan to play as a female Sylvari Necromancer in GW2 for my main and I have played GW1, enough at least to have 30 points in my HoM and may possibly work on a second account for another 30~
I've been gaming my whole life really and will probably never stop, though MMO's have certainly been becoming kind of stale for me and I am hoping GW2 will revitalize things for me. Not too much else to say beyond that though, but feel free to ask questions if you really want to know more. :P
Evening folks! My name is Corvos. I'm going to steal Meltzeiferion's post format because I like it. I'm not 100% sure what my first character is going to be. I'm torn between a Charr Necromancer and a Norn Elementalist. It's hard to argue with the amazing amount of pets/minions you're going to be able to summon as a Necromancer however the idea of swapping between elements on the fly as an Elementalist definitely has my attention. All of this will be a lot easier to decide once the first BWE goes live for pre-purchase! I purchased the GW Trilogy + EotN just recently however I haven't had the opportunity or drive to get my HoM on.
I like to think I really like MMOs however much like Meltzeiferion, I've become bored and worn out with what's currently on the market. I've played through too much of the same and I need a change. That would be the primary reason why I'm so excited for GW2 and why I created an account on this site. I have really high hopes for this game and I don't believe them to be unfounded. I was skeptical at first when all we had was talk but having had the opportunity to really see what the game will have to offer through the gameplay videos from the press beta, I know this is what I've been waiting for.
Im a 31 year old norwegian who's played games since gunboat and wolfenstein in dos on a 386 and Atari on consoles.. heh.
When everyone else was fighting over wow beta keys, I was already a guildwars sworn fan, got all CE's of all the expantions, and been ever since. Played other mmo's over the years like anarchy online, Conan, EvE, Aion, Rift, swtor, Warhammer and so on.
Really looking forward to GW2 (despite all the hate for the cash shop), especially since my last mmo was Aion, a Korean grindfest..
Jumped on GW2Hub since the community I usually circulate in, (guru) has become pretty dramatic and alot of negative postings.
I plan to play a human necro at first, and oh yeah, my old clan SuicideKings has quit, so Im looking for a guild :)

I spent a couple years playing WAR at a pretty hardcore level with some awesome people. Think I still have the record for days played on an Archmage lol.
We are teaming up with some of our old adversaries to bring about an awesome guild to play in GW2, we will be heavily involved in structured pvp and WvW.
I am always looking for fair,fun, and engaging fights from everyone I play against.
I hope we always bring our best to the table, or at least the best we have available, and I expect the same from those I play against.
We always try to learn from our mistakes, and work to be the best that we can be. Still like to have fun while we do it too.

I found this site via Necrobator (<3) so I decided to sign up and share my lack of GW2 knowledge with everyone else's since the game isn't out yet. I played EQ2 for a long time but finally stopped, now I play League of Legends frequently (summoner name: Scootermouse >.>) and I also play alot of console games. I'm a fan of dystopian novels, spellcasting, RPGs, My Little Pony, Monster Hunter, and long walks on the beach.
For my first official character my friends and I have agreed to set up a 3-man asura adventurer team, in which ill be the engineer. During the beta I will probably try my hands at some of the caster classes, especially Necro.
I can't wait to play this game and I will DEFINITELY be pre-purchasing - here's hoping I see some of you in the beta tests!

My experiments at guardians of tyria indicate that after a guardian is eaten by a minion that is then eaten by a bigger minion that is then burned alive you get something that smells weird and is definitely not a guardian, so there might still be hope for you. :P
