A lot of people have been asking, so I wanted to share some info on which home world I'll be playing on during the first beta weekend event. The GW2Hub team and Ten Ton Hammer network staff will be playing on:
Sorrow's Furnace
In the event that we're unable to join that home world at the start of the beta, I'll update this post with an alternative home world, and will also transmit the info via Twitter for those of you who follow us there.
I will be creating a guild for staff, but anyone in the community who wants to join us is more than welcome to. You'll be able to find me in-game as Sardu so you can contact me directly via chat, or through the in-game mail system. To send mail, click on the icon that looks like a sealed envelope on the top left corer of the screen, and then you can send a request for a guild invite from there. If someone else tries to use my character name, you can use the full Sardu.9563 with suffix to contact me.
For now, we are tentatively planning on hitting structured and world PvP starting at 3PM EST on Saturday and Sunday if anyone wants to join us at those times.
If you have any questions, toss them in this thread, otherwise I hope to see you in-game this weekend!

Lewis will actually be playing on Desolation (EU home world) for most of the event, and I'll be joining him there for part of the day on Sunday. We're still coordinating things so I'm not sure exactly when I'll be hopping over, but if we establish a set time I'll add the info here.
As for PvE, we'll absolutely be playing through a lot of that content as well. Since this will be the first time playing for a lot of Ten Ton Hammer writers, I'd imagine most will stick primarily to PvE during the event, so that's why I set up some times for people interested in PvP to join in. That way they'll have me on their team to show them how to kick ass in PvP necro-style if they're not sure about diving into PvP right away otherwise. :)

You know those awesome exploration challenge areas I've mentioned in my beta articles? I'll be taking a group through at least one of those at some point. Depending on interest I'll try to set up a time for it and will try and let people know when / where to meet.
I'd definitely be interesting in the group PvP stuff...and hopefully by Saturday afternoon I'll have unlocked my Ele skills.

Got back from work late and rolled on a different server, because some of my normal static group was there. will try sorrow's when the restart hits here soon. Spent whole time on the overflow server....

I started out on Sorrow's Furnace, but thanks to the great login lockout of 2012 some of the guys that I game with were unable to get onto the server but ended up being able to get onto the Steamspur Mountain server. So I moved house to join them.
I tried to get on Sorrow's Furnace but every time I checked it said it was Full. I wanted to play so I just jumped on a random Low pop server. Next beta I hope to join some cool people either from here or from the Reddit community.
Now that we're getting a character wipe and they've made some changes to the worlds, I wonder if that also means we'll get to change our server? If so, should we stay at sorrow's furnace, or should we move somewhere (possibly) less populated? It seems like our server got full so quickly many people couldn't get in.

With the wipe server selection is up for grabs (was confirmed on twitter).
There is a lot of concern on reddit that even though ArenaNet have increased the server population caps (and lowered the number of available servers), that the WvW queues will be longer with the potential for increased population density per server.
Server population caps may have been increased, but there has been no word of map population cap changes.
I'd love to see some of the Hub group this go-around. Any chance people are trying for a lower pop server?
I'd guess with the server's being condensed, Sorrow's Furnace will be just as good as any other.

Well, since the server transfers are free now(http://www.guildwars2guru.com/news/665-official-forums-announcement-important-bwe3-information/), I suppose we could see if all can fit in and just go somewhere else if not?

During the first BWEs Sorrow's Furnace ended up being full, and if that might be the case soon after launch we might want to look for a less populated server. So, does anyone know how crowded it has been lately? I accidentally went to Sea of Sorrows in BWE3, so I don't really know
