With the Guild Wars 2 patch notes having leaked some time in late May (detailing a vast array of changes) as well as three blog posts in two days from ArenaNet; a doubling of server numbers, introducing awesome periphrials and an announcement detailing many of the changes we can come expect during this coming weekend, its been a very busy build up to the second Beta weekend.
With less than 3 days to go until the servers open, I'm struggling to reduce my list of "To Do's" into some sort of cohesive order that will make the most use of my time and best serve GW2Hub readers.
Attempting to tread the tightrope between exploring Guild Wars 2 and what it has to offer, while trying not to spoil most of its content for fear of having little to discover upon the games launch, is proving harder and harder.
When the servers finally open on Friday, I feel it best to continue as I have and split my time between Structured PvP and World vs. World, as either an Engineer or Mesmer. With the changes to Trait tiering and the addition of automated PvP tournaments, there is simply too much to experience in these areas alone than venturing elsewhere.
Nailing down a Mesmer and Engineer build while taking part in regular tournaments with my guild will see most of my time evaporate. I do however want to venture back into WvW and show the other Worlds what Desolation is really made of. Lastly, I'm intending to record some new PvP footage for both the Mesmer and Engineer that should provide sustenance to anyone out there that has yet to take part in the Beta weekend. I also hope these new videos will show a marked improvement over my first attempts at recording and editing...
So the important question remaining; "What are your plans during this weekend's Beta event?"

My time in the BWE2 will be predominantly about further build testing for my Thief, in PvP and WvW. I'll also be playing about more with the Engineer, Guardian, Mesmer and Necromancer. I will be avoiding PvE for the most part, so that everything is fresh when the game releases.
I will also be playing about with the character creator and taking note of sliders, so as to help save me time when the game goes live and I may have a look at some of the gem shop items. But for the most part, I'll be focused on builds and PvP gameplay.
Order of the Ono & Semper Dius
I plan on trying out all the classes I have yet to try, and revisit mesmer. I also plan on a little crafting on the last day (artificer/light armor). It won't be easy fitting it all in.
This weekend, I have the pleasure of escorting two friends who haven't had a chance to play the game yet. One pre-purchased after the stress test, the other managed to grab a beta key from TenTonHammer (he's really excited, so thank you, Team Hammer). I'm gonna let them lead and figure out what they want to do, since I've already spent quite a bit of time in the game, so that'll be fun.
Plan A: Get to level 30-ish, not totally fail in the first dungeon, and craft, craft, craft.
Plan B: Make an alt, play around with another class/personal story.
1) Play classes other than Engineer
2) Make up excuses as to why I only played Engineer all weekend
My plan is to bang my head against a wall trying to find a way to get an Engineer to work for me in PvE. So far I have not yet managed to find my mojo with the class.
I may also tool around with a couple of classes that I am looking at to fill out my character slots for when the game goes live.
I am just not 'feeling' the class yet in PvE. Which is why I need to devote more time to playing it. It is just too hard to resist the siren call of the Guardian.
Bump my lvl 31 necro to lvl 35, and do explorable mode! Yeah baby! Once we got the hang of story mode it was pretty easy tbh, so looking forward to bash my head against a wall.
Also, PvE and SPvP with mesmer.
I plan to celebrate a bit and than dive into GW2 checking on the Necro, Mesmer, Guardian and what else may come to my mind.
Biggest concern so far, that I may spoil a bit of the release expirience, but as the wise Kralle uses to say:
Life is NOT a bowl of cherries
The new WvW dungeon might be interesting to check out..brings me back to the Darkness Falls dungeon days of DAoC. They really are bringing a lot of the goodness of DAoC into this game.
