By now we're all aware of what is coming up next in bi-weekly content release: Weaponsmith, Artificer and Hunstman levels brought up to 500, the ability to craft Ascended Weapons, Legendary Weapons getting upgraded to Ascended stats and able to change their stats, Magic Find getting reworked into an account-wide system and finally Super Adventure Box returns! Now is the time to prepare and here are some tips to get yourself a bit of a head start.
Gather Crafting Materials!
Load up on those materials!
For your own crafting purposes, or for selling purposes (Tier 6 materials are worth tons right now) it's worth taking some time this Labor Day Weekend to get yourself a nice load of materials. At the very least stock up on Orichalcum and Ancient Wood while getting your hands on as much T6 Crafting Materials.
Want more Magic Find post-patch?
Start gathering up those Masterwork items! Especially all the ones you get from these Invasions. Stock 'em up and dump them into your bank and mule characters because you'll be able to salvage them into Essences of Luck. Let's see who gets an account-wide 100% magic find boost first!
Get The Craft Skills to 400!
Considering we're going to have three professions boosted up to 500 skill cap very soon, it goes without saying that you should go ahead and knock this task out and get yourself prepared. Although now is kind of the worst time to do it, you might be able to pull it off considering the massive amount of materials we have infused into the economy via the Invasions.
Farm those Invasions!
Look at all that sweet, sweet loot.
Speaking of Invasions they will soon be tuned down come the release of this patch. So if you need those Masterwork items, more gold or even some materials you might want to focus on these for a few hours a day. I'd say especially pay attention to the Frostgorge Sound and Mount Maelstrom ones as they tend to have the best over-all gear to salvage and loot. Furthermore, I don't know about you but I am still holding out for another exotic or two to pop in my inventory.
Do The Fractals!
Now to get myself up to the 20s.
Now they haven't said this specifically, but let's put two and two together. Every Ascended item, that you can craft, has some sort of Fractal-related item associated to it. Gather your Vials now! Who knows? They might even add Infused versions of the incoming items and I am willing to put down money that it will involve a Gift of Ascension for that. Lastly if you are even focused on the Ascended items it goes without saying that you may as well work on the Fractals anyway as they are practically only used for an edge against all that Agony. It may even be worth gathering up some Passion Flowers just to begin working on those Versatile Infusions if you find yourself wanting to go all the way to 80 levels of Fractals.
Hone those Jumping Skills!
Isn't that what Super Adventure Box boils down to anyways? Go explore Tyria and get some of those Jumping Puzzles down to a fine art. I recommend doing Griffonrook Run, Goemm's Lab and The Obsidian Sanctum. In my humble opinion, if you can get those down without using any special tricks? Won't have too much issue with the rest of 'em!
Watch the Livestream!
Lastly visit the Livestream on September 3rd and watch the Developers play through some Super Adventure Box! Who knows what secrets they might share or what skills you may pick up during their stream. I know I'll be there!
And to end it all? A cute Lego Infantile Cloud.
