And i was wondering about links back into the current forum? If I make a post in the General Discussion forum, I don't see a link to take me directly back to the forum without having to click the Gerneral Discussion category and then re-enter the General Discussion forum itself. That may be worded very poorly. [/facepalm].
At the moment i am just opening each forum into a new window so I can get back to it easily.
For additional features on the forums like the ones you listed here, I'll be adding new ones incrementally. Quoting other posts, video embed, and PMs are all currently in the works though, so will be added pretty soon.
As for additional navigation, I'll also be adding some direct navigation to subforums. Currently you can navigate directly to the main categories as you mentioned, but I can easily add the subforums in one of my next updates. I partially didn't add them to start simply because I wanted to see if I'd need to add additional forums (such as guild recruitment ;) before setting it all up.
Has anyone seen a delete post button? I noticed I made a double post a while ago, but didn't see a button that would burn one of them alive. I admit, I didn't really look for it, so I could've just missed it.
Are you a guardian? Let me introduce you to my Flesh Golem, he's getting a bit hungry.
Can we make registering mandatory if you want to post? I have a feeling more of the spambots will be popping up since another one posted not long ago in the 3am thread. Might not stop it entirely but making them have to register(and maybe get mod approval, depending on where they register from) might help.
Ah the joys of working with "properly" integrated forums.
The good news is that I disabled the ability for non-registered users to post on the forums. That won't necessarily stop spammers, but it will help keep some of the lameness from infecting the forums for now.
The bad news is that I had to disable anon comments on articles to fix it on the forums, but thankfully that might only be a temporary thing.
Now that I'm (hopefully) done traveling for a bit (I just got back from being on the road for 10 days) I'll be spending the next few days adding new features on the site, including some of the things mentioned here. The "quote" system for forum threads is nearly ready, as is private messaging. I'll also be adding in some more navigation options on the forums to make it easier to get to individual forums rather than just the top level containers like it's set up currently.
I have some other things I'll be implementing as well, so will post something either here on the forums, or as a general site update sometime this weekend to let everyone know about that stuff.
Direct navigation options for each sub-forum have been added to the navbar, so hopefully that will make it a bit easier to post and hop directly back to that specific forum without looping back from the main containers.
Just to keep everyone in the loop, I'm currently working on:
Adding a 'Quote' button to forum posts. This is mostly ready but just has one final bug I need to squash before implementing.
Private Messaging - Currently in an internal testing phase, but should be ready to implement soon. Since it will make more direct use of user profile pages, I'm also working on adding some extra options for customizing your profiles beyond the basic avatar / biography display.
Adding a "Report" button to posts / comments to help facilitate easier spam nukage. This will work similar to the "Add to Favorites" button, only it will apply to all posts, not just the OP which is how 'favorites' are currently implemented.
Those are all short-term, in-progress things. Then I also have a long list of other community-centric features in the works that I think people will enjoy. I've been receiving some awesome applications for our current opening, so once that's filled it will also help free up some of my time to get some of the extra shiny stuff implemented. :)
Oh yeah, and a quote button for quoting other posts.
And will there be a guild recruiting forum added? Just asking before the inevitable daily "join my guild" spam begins.
Is ther am PM system or am I missing something?

Okay, coolness.
Don't suppose we'll have a way to turn off ads, I kinda want to vomit anytime I see something warcraft related.
Dog Company - http://www.dogcompany.org
Dog Company Live Feed (currently Online, GW2 beta weekends) - http://www.livestream.com/dogsdarkfall
Haunted House I'm at!- http://www.darkwoodmanor.net/
I didn't even notice any advertisements 'cause I stroll about the internet with adblock on.
Wait, we have advertisements?
Where?
Oh, that banner at the top. Didn't notice it lol
Are you a guardian? Let me introduce you to my Flesh Golem, he's getting a bit hungry.
I don't mind the ads so much, as they are just this little bar at the top. TTH has to make money somehow!!!
We need a report post button too.
We got our first real spammer thread today: http://www.guildwars2hub.com/comment/293#comment-293
I concur on the report post button. Nothing kills a community like rampant spamming
Yeah, and allowing unverified people to post is like having an open mike night for spammers.
Needs a "Mark as Read" feature.
Deadpan snarking isn't.

My vote for first fix is to add more navigation...clicking out and back into a forum is a pain.
I've been having no issues using the main page and navigating to updated threads using the "see new" link.

Yeah, the unverified poster spam is starting to get annoying. More have popped up overnight.
Another spammer in the Off Topic forums: VeidsLedsuest (not verified)
Sardu, you may want to visit this thread. It is becoming Grand Central Station for unverified spammers.

Awesome sauce. I do love me some forum features.
Sounds great Sardu, keep up the good work. We really do appreciate it.
Appreciate the work you are putting in!
Great work Sardu! Appreciate all your hard work..definitely shows!

Appreciate the work, Sardu.
Remember, better forums mean more members and more participation!

A feature that I currently miss most, is a button with the function "newest posts".
*ducks away and goes hidden*
*peeks under the couch* Hey it's Kralle
The good news is that I actually have a filter button / tab for that created, and will see about getting it implemented shortly. :)
