A short about us…
Luciform is a hardcore PvP based guild that was originally formed for TERA. We have (obviously) moved into GW2 as a guild to find a bit more promising of a game. I could probably find some ridiculous amount of completely unrelated past accomplishments to post about but I would rather talk about what we are and what we want.
We are built around extremely dedicated and skilled players who have various backgrounds from world firsts in various PvE settings to extremely high PvP rankings or accomplishments in MMOs throughout their history. We also have quite a lot of previously sponsored and competitive FPS players. In short, we are a bunch of very skilled people who play all the time. We prefer quality over quantity and thus have a ~40 member core we build around. We are competitive and like to win, but also like to mess around occasionally and have fun. We do not accept group applications and will not accept one person just because they may come with another. We allow FnF but only if their skill is up-to-par with what we require for Members (EX they cannot play as much but they have to be to our standards of play).
We are currently part of the Titan Alliance and love doing WvW, as it is our MAIN focus as an entire guild. At the same time, we do sPvP and PvE in our off times in smaller groups, and are going to begin to form serious sPvP teams (no serious PvE content!?!). We try to let our actions speak for ourselves in-game.
What we look for…
We want hardcore, dedicated, capable players. People who can show up to our event schedule of Mon-Thur 9-12 PM EST on a regular basis (we uphold a 75% attendance policy but generally recruit people who can only make 4+ weekdays). We want players who are both skilled at the game and skilled at listening to what needs to be done. People who are not dramatic or issue causing, but can have fun and mess around when things aren’t serious.
We do not want trash talkers, players who are not up to our play standards, people with thin skin, and those who cannot listen. You need to be able to follow our quite basic and common-sense rules, both in and out of game, lest you be kicked. You have to have a half decent computer and not be on dial-up. We also use Mumble, and you need to have a mic. Kind of basic things for a hardcore guild.
We have no issue kicking people that are not up to par in skill, listening, or other areas. We do it without hesitation.

We deny a good 80%+ of our applications and are quite picky with what we move forward with. We would rather remain small and high-quality over larger and of a lesser…yeah.

To answer some recent questions:
While we are EST based we have people from...well...everywhere. From East to West Coast, Germany, and even one in Singapore. In all honesty IDT we care as much where people are from as long as they are highly skilled and like minded at the levels we seek (Also, English IS a must).
As a side note to compact posts, we are openly recruiting all classes. We will not be restricting people for classes AS OF NOW (and will not for EXCEPTIONAL applications forever) though it will become harder and harder on a per-class basis as we fill up to what we want.

A note to Applicants (as applications have started to rollllllllllll). We quite often ask questions of our applicants. Answering these questions quickly and fully will help your application, while letting them hang as others answer may let your application be beaten out. Just be prepared for questions on your application!
Monday. A few days until BWE2. If you tried accessing our site over the weekend their was some issues, though it seems to be okay now. I would suggest dropping an application BEFORE Wednesday if you plan to put one in. For some odd reason, we have ridiculous luck on getting massive double digit application storms a day before a Beta Weekend in games. Spread the load and make my job easier!

We will be having a meeting tonight and the BWE tomorrow/after. This means that if you do decide to drop an application in, it may not get a ton of attention. I personally prefer playing when I can!
The BWE is a ton of fun! We are having a blast dominating sPvP and messing around in the PvE/WvW/Theorycrafting with different classes, among other things.
If you apply DURING the BWE (or applied RIGHT BEFORE >.<) PLEASE give us a bit of time to process them and respond.
With the BWE over there is so much to do! Recruitment, posting and discussing all the information we gained, and more. We are still (and will always be) actively recruiting highly skilled and committed individuals to play with us.

Slowly building up new Trials around our Member core for GW2. We like to take the time and effort to read, discuss, question, and possibly interview each application. Always looking for exceptional applications for sPvP and WvWvW. Slowly filling up to our goal as we selectively pick through applications.
When you are applying, please take the time to be detailed etc. At the same time, if your application is going to be decently large, we suggest first typing it in a word document and copy/pasting it in, as there have been past instances where people time out (or hit backspace and lose it all, etc etc).
Going on a trip tomorrow, going to sadly miss the Stress Test. Still looking for exceptional applicants as we slowly find what we want (hopefully) and Trial people.
I am on a personal vacation for the next ~2 weeks. All questions, comments or concerns should be redirected at our Recruitment Officer Chopper. Chopper will also be handling applications, Interviews, etc as I am away. Also, have fun on the Stress Test!
Finally, a release date. With this we will start to slowly gain momentum and charge towards the release of the game. I would ask people to please be patient with their applications, this includes taking the time to make them shine. We will decline poor applications quite quickly.
