If you could add one completely new feature to Guild Wars 2 (housing for example), or add on to a current feature (player crafting plots available for players to set up crafting villages in the world), what would it be?
Personally, I'd like to see the 2nd example I gave.

To be able to move abilities to whatever key I want them at. The heal key is set to 6... with my layout I want it at 4. I want my primary attack at 5 and second at 6. I can make keybindings around this. But I wish I could choose my ability layout.
i havent really read that much about the enhancements of gear. but if enchants doesnt exist in gw2 i would think that would be good to have in the game.
You should be able to rebind keys. Your healing ability will forever be on the slot 6, but you can bind it to key 4.
Are you a guardian? Let me introduce you to my Flesh Golem, he's getting a bit hungry.
Yes, but I want to see it in slot 4 then. Its a small thing, but one that bothers me a bit. My elementalist has so many skills to keep up with, remembering where I bound them all is a bit of a pain. It would be nice if I saw on my screen the heal in spot 4.
That would mean having it in the middle of your weapon skills though, sounds a bit confusing to me

Well. after the BWE, one feature that I would love to see added, and was surprised to see that it wasn't, is a log to character select function. Having only the ability to completely log out of the game or quit to desktop sucked balls.
@Haelyn Hear hear! Luckily the server I was on had a pretty good connection so logging out then back it only took 10sec but that could be really annoying on a full server.

Agreed with above. Thank Grenth (Well, I did play the human personal story a bit..) you could just tell the game to remember both username and password. Imagine having to retype them both when changing characters

Better camera when you're in Downed state.
It's pretty annoying when you're zoomed in that much, and the enemy is beating on you with melee. Takes up a lot of the screen.
Deadpan snarking isn't.
"I feel most at home wielding a" - option added to character creation, allowing you to choose starter weapon and/or offhands, and showing you what skills u will be able to unlock with the various combinations
I think it is actually a good idea to start the classes with some oddball weapon choices (like axes for Rangers/Necromancers) as it essentially forces players to see what their class can do with the various weapon skills beyond the generic 'traditional' weapons like bows or staves.
I think I would actually agree with this one right here :)
More body hair, please.
Agreed. I wanted to make a hairy Norn with a giant bristly beard, but they all overly well manicured. My vision of a 'wild looking' Norn Ranger sort of fizzled out when the end result was more of GQ looking guy. That made me sad.
edit: I forgot to add that I really hope that add a feature where you can double click on the names of people on your friends list and join them if they are on an overflow server.
Storage at crafting areas, running between bank and crafting will get old real quick (and is against anets philosophy i would have imagined)
Frankly, I don't know enough about the game to criticize the current content.Housing is the only major element I would like to see.
OK OK..one more WvW....naval warfare.
I would like to have WvW titles over our heads that show how experienced we are in WvW warfare.
I don't really care about perks or stats from the titles but I just don't want to see Invader everywhere.

I think it would be cool to have a set of starter weapons, so you can try out every weapon right off the bat.
But yeah having a choice would help too!

I didn't play any characters to a very high level, but one thing I was a bit dissapointed with was the simplistic look of the armor. It may get more detailed later on, I don't really know, but I didn't see any real complexity in any armor other than the elementalist. I loved the ele's starting armor, but when I got replacement armor for him, I found it actually lost much of its complexity.
I'm just very used to GW Armor have really great looks and details to it. But then, perhaps further into the game the armor gets nicer.

The game is definitely lacking in character creation as far as making characters that look a bit rougher. My necro in GW1 is one ugly dude. Norn had a couple scarred face options, but there were nowhere near enough options for that kind of thing. Still looking for a game that has a character option with an ear half chopped off or something
No, definately didn't see any half chopped off ears...though there is a charr option where their horns are just little bitty stubs?

Galen, make sure you look into Transmutation Stones when the game launches, if you haven't already. They let you add the stats of one item to the appearance of another. Definitely a good idea if you want to keep your starting class item, like the engy's goggles or the mesmer's mask. I don't know where they're aquired or how costly they are, though.
I would really like to see a 'turn speed' slider in the options for keyboard controls. I've always felt more comfortable -not- using the mouse in combat, except when I need to target a specific creature or plop down an area skill.
I do know about them, but didn't actually try using them. You get them in the Gem store. I forget how many Gems they cost, but I believe it was less than 100. The cost of Gems is what should be interesting to find out about.
My personal guess is that they will probably be around 600 for 5.00. I got this figure from the fact that a shard transfer is going to cost 1800 gems. At the rate I said, that would be 15.00 to transfer to a new homeworld server which is, I believe, comparable to other MMO's.

There are more than a few p2p MMOs (WoW and EW2 come to mind) that charge around the $25 mark per character to transfer servers. At least ArenaNet is only charging a small-ish fee to move you entire account. To move 5 characters in EQ2 would cost you $125.
Well...this is pure speculation on my part...who knows...maybe they will charge an arm and a leg as well as the necro fees to reattach them :)
They have called it a modest fee, but then I'm sure WoW and EQ2 do the same.
Only time will tell how much they eventually cost.

It will most probably end up being between the $15-$20 (worth of Gems) mark, and the population of certain fansites will react like their throats were being cut and that ArenaNet crept in their windows, touched them in a 'bad place' and then stole their first-borns. I swear that ArenaNet could offer free server transfers and there would still be people that cry about it costing too much.
But at least the transfers will be for your entire account, not on a per character basis.
The charge needs to be there to keep world hopping down in regards to PvP this is especially important. I agree that there will be complaining about the cost, which is laughable considering that this level of content in an MMO has traditionally been a subscription model. You could actually spend $100.00 on the shop a year and still come out ahead compared most sub model games (granted some of them are cheaper per month if you buy in larger time chunks).
I know I haven't played much and am still under the 20 mark, but one thing I would like to see added is perhaps an entire area that is underwater...with events and everything down there. I know Lion's Arch has a decent sized area underwater, but unless I am just missing it, I didn't realy see much in the way of fighting underwater or areas with missions to be completed and such down there.
Water is one of the new improves overe GW1, just like Jumping. There are lots of Jumping puzzels, but what of the underwater realms?
Of course, as I said, I may have just missed them.

There was an interview ages back where they talked about underwater content and that there are DEs and that content gets harder the deeper you go. If that is the case then I imagine that as you progress further through the game, the coastal areas are going to have some nasty stuff in the depths.
Pretty much just missing them, depends on what starter area you are in too. Enjoy Quaggan, I wish I could kill them.
