I have been saying for a while that I absolutely love the GW2 art. I don't think there has been a single game where it has interested me in the slightest, but GW2 art I just love to look at.
I dig the login screen as well. And kudos to ArenaNet for being one of the smart developers that allows you to adjust graphics and resolution BEFORE you start playing the game. One of my biggest pet peeves in all of gaming is when you log into MMO X for the first time, and have to create your first character with super low rez graphics at the wrong screen ratio. Those games should all lose 20 review score points just on principle. ;)
My wife and son don't appreciate the awesomeness of the login screen, so I am left with a conundrum. Double homicide or forbid them from ever playing GW2......
I am enjoying just having the login screen open while I am surfing the net. The music is great.
Since you mentioned it...did you find the Ghosts of Ascalon easter egg in Divinity Reach?
Scattered around the city are Book Carts. One of them, when you hit F on it says the cart is loaded with a book called "Ghosts of Ascelon" and refers to it as a historical account of long ago events.
Its one of several books you find mentioned in these Book Carts. My other favorite was the book, "Koss on Koss". I would so love to read that book..heheheh :)
I, too, was quite entranced by the login screen. If that is any indication of the rest of the game, I'm already sold!

I like how quickly it launches and closes. I dunno if its just my computer, but it starts up and shuts down in like a second.
I am listening to it as I read the posts here....awesome music. I wondered just how good it would be, but no more.
The music was much too epic for what I was doing on there.
Changing all the graphics settings to low in grim anticipation :(
I also love the little colour code password thingy
It's even nicer when you've left the client downloading over night, wake up in the morning and guild wars 2 music and login screen is waiting for you!

It's awesome. For a login screen, anyway ;) Was nice to hear the old GW theme revamped and made more amazing.
Sardu, I feel the same way. I always end up creating my first toon, getting in and changing graphic settngs, and then deleting my character to remake.

Definitely one of the most beautiful log in screens I have seen for an MMO.
Is not alleviating my GW2 withdrawal symptoms one iota.
I keep clicking login, but nothing happens :( I really miss the beta.
