Played GW1 Prophecy for a week, some 4 years ago. Haven't touched anything GW related besides reading up on GW2.
So no, can't say I'm a true Guild Wars player. But that doesn't mean I'm no less interested in the sequel.
Too many MMORPGs played that I lost count. However, one of them that I treasured highly was Mabinogi, which I considered to be the first true second-generation MMORPG. Now that Mabinogi has gone down the drain in terms of balance and grinding, it's time for me to move on to the next generation, and I'm hoping Guild Wars 2 will set that standard as the first.
I looked at the other GW2 fansites, but this one stood out to me because of its smaller community with a less tense atmosphere. Thus, I hope this community will continue that atmosphere while being on top of things that are GW2.

Hello my female char name is Strumfeta/Smurffeta,last 3 and half years playing MM necro in Age of Conan,i am very famous there because of my spamming,trolling,flaming and my uber pvp skills.
My MMO history is longer then 12 years,during that time i played also WOW,GW1,WARHAMER,RIFT,AION but from all that games i really enjoyed AoC and even with all bugs in my opinion AoC have best combat system.
I just hope that i will have plenty fans,like in every MMO what i played and that we will see plenty fun on global Chanel.

Hello everyone, I'm Caedis! I'm in my late 20s and have been playing video games since sneaking time on my older cousin's Atari. I'm a big fan of MMOs and have really got into them back in Spring 2005 with World of Warcraft and GW. Although there are some fun MMOs out there, the field definitely need some major renovation and innovation. I'm really looking forward to beta testing and playing GW2. Still haven't quite decided on a main yet...all the classes look so much fun. I'm leaning towards a Necro, Elementalist, or Warrior. I'm going to spend some time in the beta trying out the playstyles of all the classes to get a better feel.
Look forward to seeing all of you on GW2Hub and in game!
EDIT: After digging for more videos, I might be leaning towards the Elementalist..I really enjoy complex classes and all the different attunements + weapon skills looks to be a lot of fun to master.

You're both wrong. Death is the absence of life, not a part of it. When something is dead, there's no consciousness or life force in it (Of course, it's not quite that simple, but being a bookah that's all you need to know). That leads us to some quite interesting questions though: are ghosts, wraiths or other undead creatures actually dead, since their consciousness still remains? Either way, since dead is merely absence or life, that's not what necromancy is all about. Neither is it an abomination. Here, let me explain:
Necromancy is the art of manipulating life. It's the art of creating life to do your bidding and taking it away from your enemies. Where a ranger basks in powers of nature and life, a necromancer lets it flow through him. As you can see, necromancy is not unnatural. Where ranger's path is a muddy pond, necromancer's path is a deep ocean.
